cases, including seven imported ones, in the past 24 hours till 5pm on
October 6, reported the Health Ministry.
Ho Chi Minh City, which is the country’s largest pandemic
hotspot, continued to record the highest number of cases, with 1,960
new infections. It is followed by Binh Duong province with 852 cases, Dong
Nai 534 and An Giang 180. The capital city of Hanoi logged nine cases.
The country’s total number of infections has to date reached 822,687.
As many as 10,033 patients were given the
all-clear from on October 6, bringing the country’s
total recoveries to 757,086.
Also on the day, the country logged 119 deaths, taking the
national tally to 20,098.
As many as 1,148,557 doses of were administered on
October 5, putting the total administered shots in Vietnam to more than 48 million.
More than 12.2 million people have received two doses of vaccine./.
