Hanoi (VNA) – Without new cases of COVID-19 to
report on September 21 morning, the number of infections in Vietnam stays
unchanged, at 1,068.

Among all the cases, 691 are domestically
transmitted cases, including 551 related to Da Nang since the new outbreak
began in the central city on July 25, according to the national steering
committee for prevention and control.

As many as 942 patients have recovered, but
there have also been 35 deaths linked with the disease, mostly
elderly people with serious underlying health conditions.

Fourteen of the 126 patients still under
treatment have tested negative for the virus that causes COVID-19
once, three others twice, and 22 thrice.

There are 24,626 people having close contact
with confirmed cases or coming from under quarantine at
present, including 385 in hospitals, 15,294 in other concentrated quarantine
sites, and 8,947 at home or accommodation facilities./.
