Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded of
COVID-19 on October 6, raising the national count to 1,098, according to the
National Steering Committee for Prevention and Control.

The new patient was a student returning from on flight VN0054
which landed at Van Don airport in the northern province of Quang Ninh. She
tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 while staying in quarantine in Hai Duong
province.

On , one patient was given the all clear, raising the
total number of recoveries to 1,023. The number of
fatalities remains at 35.

 Among patients still under treatment, two have tested negative for
SARS-CoV-2 once, two negative twice and five negative thrice.

Over 14,370 people are being quarantined nationwide, with 268 at
hospitals, 11,614 at designated facilities and 2,491 at home or
accommodations./.
