Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded
3,399 new COVID-19 cases on May 5, the highest daily number over the past six
months, according to the Ministry of Health.
The new cases brought the total number of
in the country since the pandemic broke out to 11,571,127.
The same day, 997 patients were given
the all-clear from coronavirus, lifting the number of recoveries to 10,625,838.
Meanwhile, the was still kept
at 43,195, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections, as no
fatality was reported on the day.
As many as 15,550 doses of
vaccines were injected to people on May 4, raising the total number of
administered doses to almost 266.27 million./.
