City (VNA) – Doctor ,
a US expert in reconstructive, orthopaedic and , has
returned to Vietnam to offer for Vietnamese children suffering from serious
diseases such as neuroblastoma, brain hemangioma, vascular and eye malformations.
According to France-Vietnam (FV) HCM City Hospital, the activity will be
implemented through the “Nang buoc tuoi tho” – a charitable fund sponsored by
the hospital.
On October 21, Dr McKay examined 16 children from across the country. He will
be carrying out surgeries for them at FV Hospital from October 22-25.
Since 2006, the FV-funded foundation has financed surgery for hundreds of children
with various types of malformations and sequelae, helping them to enjoy better
lives.
Dr McKay has more than 30 years of experience in his field and has travelled
all over the world to work with charity and humanitarian organisations to offer
free treatment to patients with rare conditions, especially those with large
tumours.
Currently, he is a
surgeon at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois State and the Children’s
Memorial Hospital of Chicago Medical University./.
