Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam confirmed 10 new imported cases from
6am-6pm on , reported the National Steering Committee for COVID-19
Prevention and Control.
Eight of them returned from on Flight VN5062 which landed in Van Don
airport in northern Quang Ninh province on October 31. They tested positive for
SARS-CoV-2 while in quarantine.
The two remaining are under quarantine and treatment at General Hospital of Bac
Ninh province. The two returned from Angola on Flight VN8 arriving at Van Don
airport on October 20.
As of November 3 evening, Vietnam recorded 1,202 patients positive to
SARS-CoV-2, 691 of them were locally-transmitted.
The same
day, four patients were given the all-clear, raising the total number of
recovered cases to 1,069.
Among
patients under treatment at medical establishments, 17 tested negative for the
virus once, six twice and five others thrice. There are no patients in critical
conditions. The death toll remains at 35.
As many
as 14,775 who had close contact with patients or entered from pandemic-hit
areas are under quarantine; 174 of them are at hospitals, 13,327 at other
establishments and 1,274 at homes.
Vietnam has so far
gone through 62 days without local transmissions, with pandemic outbreaks
basically under control./.
