HCM City (VNA) – Women have given birth to a
total of 5,643 babies via in-vitro fertilisation () at Tu Du Obstetrics
Hospital in HCM City since 1998, according to the hospital, one of the leaders
in offering in the country.
Its IVF success rate, which is among the highest in the
country, nearly doubled from 25 percent in 2011 to more than 45 per cent last
year.
According to Dr Le Quang Thanh, head of the hospital, it not
only provides maternal and child care but also offers technical support for
hospitals in 32 cities and provinces in the south.
The hospital, which celebrated its 80th anniversary last
week, receives around 3,500 medical treatment and and more
than 200 delivery cases per day.-VNA
