first robotically assisted surgery in Vietnam, said Director of
the hospital Phan Van Bau on February 17.

The operation was performed under the
supervision of Professor Amin Kassam, Vice President of the United States’
Aurora Health Care.
It was conducted on a female patient, aged
67, residing in the southern Tay Ninh province. She was admitted to the hospital
for headache, dysarthria and right limb weakness.
An MRI scan revealed that she had a small
tumour in the .
The three-member team of the hospital
successfully removed the tumour in the patient’s brain, with the assistance of
the Modus V Synaptive robot system produced in the US.-VNA
