Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded of COVID-19
over the last 12 hours, bringing the national total to 1,110, the national
steering committee for prevention and control said on October 12
evening.

The patient is a 35-year-old , who entered Vietnam on October 6 on
Flight 6E9471 and was sent to a concentrated quarantine centre in Ho Chi Minh
City upon his arrival.

At present, the man is being treated at the HCM City Hospital for Tropical
Diseases.

Of the total case, 691 infected the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 domestically, with
551 reported since July 25, when the new outbreak began.

Also on October 12, a patient was given the all-clear, bringing the total number
recoveries to 1,025. Death toll remains at 35.

Among the patients still under treatment, eight have tested negative for
SARS-CoV-2 once, two twice and 15 thrice. Currently, there is no patient in
critical conditions.

There are now 16,160 people having close contact with confirmed cases or coming
from pandemic-hit regions under quarantine, including 282 in hospitals, 13,331
in other quarantine sites, and 2,547 at home or accommodation facilities./.
