Hanoi (VNA) –
Vietnam logged 116 additional COVID-19 cases, including 115 domestic ones, from
6am to 12pm on June 30, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).

The new infections
brought the national tally to 16,623, with 14,832 locally transmitted and 1,791
. The number of cases since the fourth wave of outbreaks that
began on April 27 amounted to 13,262.

Fourteen localities
have gone through two weeks without new infections in the community.

The sub-department for
treatment under the MoH announced on June 30 that 6,764 patients have been
given the all-clear, while the death toll has reached 80.

Of the patients who
are still under treatment, 284 have tested negative for the novel coronavirus,
121 twice and 84 thrice.

 
As of June 29, the country’s vaccine fund had received about 7.8 trillion VND (338.56 million USD).

In the context of
complicated developments, the ministry called on citizens to follow the 5K
message of the MoH, including khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection),
khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (health
declaration), to help contain the outbreaks./.
