Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 14,818 cases of ,
including 35 imported ones, during 24 hours from 4pm January 9 to 4pm January 10,
according to the .

Hanoi recorded the highest number of infections
with 2,830, followed by Khanh Hoa with 795 and Binh Phuoc with 640.

The national tally reached 1,914,393, including 31
infections of Omicron.

A total 89,842 patients were given the all-clear on the same day, taking the
total number of recoveries to 1,590,090.

According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 6,358
patients nationwide are in serious conditions, with 716 requiring invasive
ventilation and 23 on life support (ECMO).

On the day, the country saw 212 deaths from the
disease. The death toll now hits 34,531, equal to 1.8 percent of the total
caseload.

By January 9, the country had injected over 161.27
million doses of vaccines, with more than 71.16 million people now fully inoculated,
while over 11.82 million third shots, either booster shots or the third shot of
Abdala vaccine, had been administered./.
