Doctor Nguyen Hoang Dinh of the Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and the Pharmacy University (Photo: nhandan.com.vn)HCM City (VNA) – Children with congenital heart diseases will be offered and surgery under a programme launched by the Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and the Pharmacy University and two US charity organisations, Gift of Life and MD1 World.
Patients will receive free health check-ups at the hospital on November 13, followed by diagnoses by doctors.
Necessary operations will be performed by doctors from January 16-22 next year.
Treatment costs will be sponsored by the Vietnam Heart Foundation, Viettel Military Telecom Corporation and VinaCapital Foundation.

An estimated 12,000 are born with in Vietnam every year, with many of them unable to get treatment as their families cannot afford the high costs.-VNA
