HCM City (VNA) – recorded nine deaths,
including two children, caused by dengue fever in the first nine months of this
year.
The municipal said on October 8 that in September
alone, the city recorded 8,128 cases of dengue fever, and most cases of fatalities
had been hospitalized late.
The centre has called for more efforts from families and agencies to fight the
disease.
The centre also revealed that from January-September, HCM City
witnessed a total of 14,990 , with no deaths reported. The
number was 6,573 in September, doubling that in the previous month.
The municipal advised locals to apply measures to prevent
dengue fever and hand-foot-mouth disease, including killing mosquitoes and
washing hands regularly. –VNA
