ones, were confirmed in the last six hours to 6pm on June 27, according to the
Ministry of Health (MoH).
Among the new domestic cases, 95 were in Ho Chi Minh City, 36 in Binh Duong, 15
in Bac Giang, 15 in Quang Ngai, eight in Phu Yen, seven in Hung Yen, six in Bac
Ninh, four in Nghe An, two in Da Nang.
Also on the day, the Bac Giang Centre for Disease Control confirmed an
additional 45 cases which were previously detected in locked down areas.
To date, Vietnam has documented 15,643, with 13,874 domestically-transmitted
infections and 1,769 imported ones.
The same day, 182 s were given the all-clear, bringing the total
to 6,319.
Among active patients in hospitals, 370 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once,
125 twice and 152 thrice.
The Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19
Prevention and Control on June 27 afternoon confirmed one more death related to
COVID-19, raising the national tally to 76.
The 53-year-old woman living in Binh Tan district, HCM City tested positive for
SARS-CoV-2 on June 24. She was moved to the Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital from the Binh
Tan District Hospital in a comatose state.
She was given emergency treatment, intensively resuscitated by endotracheal
mechanical ventilation, sedation, muscle relaxant combined with antibiotics,
vasopressor drugs and anti-inflammatory medicine. However, her condition
progressed rapidly although doctors tried their best to save her.
She died at 9.30am on June 25.
Cause of death was recorded as severe pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2, acute
respiratory failure and septic shock./.
