Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 2,949 new
cases of on October 10, a drop of 678 cases compared to the previous
day, according to the . 

Among these new cases, 10 were imported.

HCM City recorded the highest number of
infections with 1,018, followed by neighbouring with 501 and
Binh Duong province with 447.

The national tally now stands at 846,230.

According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 4,299 patients
nationwide are in serious conditions, with 546 requiring invasive
ventilation and 19 on life support (ECMO).

On the day, the country saw 93 deaths from the
disease. The death toll now hits 20,763 .

A further 1,347 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number of
recoveries to 786,095.
