More than 200 children with and palates in Quang Ngai province and other central localities will benefit from free exams and surgeries provided by Operation Smile from August 17 to 21.
About 100 of the children, some of them will travel from Da Nang city and Quang Nam, Quang Tri and Phu Yen provinces, are expected to receive . They will also be provided with support in travel and accommodation expenses.
This is the second trip to Quang Ngai by Operation Smile, which will work with the Ho Chi Minh City-based National Hospital for Odonto – Stomatology and General Hospital to offer dental examinations and treatment to some 1,500 children in Nghia Hanh district.
ExxonMobil Vietnam – the main sponsor of the programme – has financed 1.1 billion VND (over 51,100 USD) to this year to carry out programmes targeting children with deformities across Vietnam.-VNA
