Disseminating infectious disease preventive measures at workers’ accommodation site (Source: yte.daklak.gov.vn)
Dak Lak (VNA) –
has resulted in s in , especially ,
diarrhoea and hand-foot-mouth disease in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak
since the beginning of May.
According to the local Preventive Medicine
Centre, the province has recorded more than 20 dengue cases each week, making a
total of nearly 600 since the beginning of 2017.
During January-May, the number of
hand-foot-mouth cases posted a three-fold rise against the same period last
year to 410, while more than 3,000 locals contracted diarrhoea.
The patients mainly reside in Buon Ma Thuot
city and Buon Don, Krong Bong and Krong Nang districts.
The local health sector has worked to
prevent contagious diseases by intensifying vaccination, spraying mosquito
repellent and encouraging people to keep the environment clean.
It also advised locals to carry out measures
to avoid hand-foot-mouth disease in children, including keeping floors and toys
clean, eating cooked food and washing hands with soap.-VNA
